The Vancouver Aquarium
Since opening in 1956 in the heart of Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium has welcomed millions of families into a colourful underwater world, featuring 120 world-class exhibits, daily animal enrichment programs, a thrilling 4D theatre experience, and so much more.
From the enchanting waters of local Canadian habitats to the exotic wonders of the Amazon rainforest, the Vancouver Aquarium is Canada's largest aquarium and home to over 65,000 incredible animals including rescued sea otters, seals, and sea lions.
These rescues are made possible by the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society, an independent charity partnered with the Aquarium. Together, they have successfully rescued and rehabilitated more than 3000 marine mammals throughout their over-60 year legacy. The Aquarium responds to 300-plus marine mammal emergencies every year and runs Canada’s only dedicated marine mammal rescue centre.
Internationally accredited for their outstanding animal care practices and guest programming, the Vancouver Aquarium offers a one-of-a-kind aquatic adventure where lifelong memories are made. Connect with the incredible at Vancouver Aquarium!
