Wild Salmon Day
June 1, 3-7pm
Surrey’s Salmon Habitat Restoration Program is working to enhance Healy Creek! Stop by at several stations along the creek to learn about water quality tests, the fish species living in the creek and habitat projects underway. Fishy fun activities for all ages! Drop-in. All ages.

WALKit: Elgin Heritage Park Walk
June 3, 10-11:30am
Join us for a walk on the banks of the Nicomekl River! Check out the gorgeous wetland, meadow, forested area, and marina. Learn more about the history and the events offered at the Historic Stewart Farm. Ages 55+.

Craft Supply Swap
June 3, 4-7pm
Drop off clean, reusable arts and crafts supplies to share with others. Pick up new materials on the day of the swap. Try a new craft, save money, and keep unused items out of the landfill. You do not need to donate to participate. Drop-in. All ages.

Planting for Pollinators
June 4, 1-2pm
If you plant them, they will come! Discover the vital role of pollinators like birds, bees, and butterflies in our ecosystems and food supply. Create a pollinator-friendly planter with native plants to take home, then enjoy a guided walk through the farm’s bee garden, heirloom gardens, and orchard. Ages 55+.

Hummingbird Banding

Join the Vancouver Avian Research Centre to catch and band hummingbirds and other local bird species. Learn all about these species, the challenges they face and how we can help them by banding. See these birds up close before they’re released. Ages 13+.
