This is a virtual circle of trust where everyone who identifies as a single mom is welcome to join a conversation or simply learn from other moms about mental health; tools and strategies for starting over; as well as finding or keeping your career as a single parent.
This peer support session is designed to emphasize the importance of mental health, finding (and keeping) yourself, in addition to creating connections with moms going through similar experiences.
About the Facilitator:
Laura Zeman (She/Her) is a Co-Founder and Board Director of a peer-support network Mind Ally, a name that she previously conceived as a mental wellness media initiative designed to offer hope and tools for the recovery and well-being of anyone affected by mental health challenges. Mind Ally today is a peer-support network that offers collaborative learning opportunities informed by research and guided by mental illness survivors.
She will aim to offer tools and strategies by sharing her experience of becoming a single parent, in hopes to support the mental well-being of mothers who have gone or are going through a similar experience.
