Performance Times: 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm
Recommended for ages 10+ (Youth under 15 must attend with an adult)
Playing Fields is a youth driven, outdoor, participatory sound performance about teenage longing. With voices from teenagers across the world (Hong Kong, Dublin, Whitehorse, Yukon, Richmond, BC) this event will bring people together to share a unique theatre experience. While listening in on individual headsets to teens speaking about their greatest fears and hopes, the performance is guided by a local Richmond teenager and involves moving on an outdoor field. We ask that audience members dress accordingly. If mobility is a concern, participants can sit on the benches and listen to the audio while watching the audience on the field for an optional and equally interesting experience. An unforgettable participatory storytelling experience for anyone ages 10+.
