Lion Dance for Lunar New Year
Experience the magic of a lion dance and ring in the Year of the Snake at the Central Library!
Legend has it that the lion dance originated from villagers dressing up as lions to chase away a mythical monster that was eating their harvest. In Chinese culture today, lion dances are performed during festive occasions to bring prosperity and good luck.
Come celebrate Lunar New Year at VPL with a traditional lion dance by the talented kung fu practitioners from Chau Luen Athletics.
