Indigenous Community Art Project

Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day together by participating in a community art project facilitated by Indigenous Artist Christine Mackenzie. All skill levels are welcome at this FREE activity.

Drop by City Centre Community Centre any time between 11:00am - 4:00pm on Friday, June 21st. Help create a community art piece of Pacific Northwest animals or paint a cedar significant to the Indigenous culture that also represents the multicultural community of Richmond City Centre community.
All ages welcome. Children must be supervised.
Artist Christine Mackenzie:
Christine is a First Nations artist who was born in Kelowna, B.C. Her mother is a descendant of Kwakuitl royalty. Christine is of the Killer Whale and Eagle Clans. She grew up in south western British Columbia, in the Coast Salish traditional territories (Richmond). Christine finds inspiration in the natural world, seeing beauty in nature's creations.
