Historic Powell Street Walking Tours

*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 09/17/2020
VJLS is proud to present the new Historic Powell Street Walking Tours that are starting this August. Learn about the hidden history of the thriving Japanese-Canadian historic neighbourhood community prior to World War II, the strength displayed by Japanese Canadians during internment, and the resilient Downtown Eastside community of today. To ensure the safety of all participants, we will be practicing social distancing and limiting registration to a maximum of 8 people. Tours will happen every Saturday and Thursday throughout August and begin in front of the VJLS Heritage Wing at 475 Alexander Street, Vancouver, BC.
