In 2011, The Canadian Electrical Stewardship Association (CESA), an association of small appliance manufacturers and retailers, launched a province-wide small appliance recycling program: ElectroRecycle! The first of it’s kind in North America, ElectroRecycle accepts over 400 types of electrical appliances and power tools, including microwaves, hair dryers, electric toothbrushes, sewing machines and treadmills.
