Located on the Fraser River Estuary, Westham Island’s nutrient-rich soil provides an ideal environment where crops can thrive and wildlife habitat can flourish. Through interactive booths and displays, visitors can learn about soil health, ecosystem services, and the critical role farmers play as stewards of the land. The event includes activities for all ages, with interactive displays, antique tractors and live horse plowing demonstrations. The farm site is also decorated with all sorts of farm equipment that can be explored and learned about. The event's hay wagon tours will take attendees on a tour around the beautiful Westham Island farm fields, with a guided discussion on crops, geography, soil management and stewardship practices.
