TAIWANfest presents hands-on indigo dye workshops right here in Vancouver! Learn how to harvest, extract, and dye—immerse yourself into the community craft from Taiwan’s Hakka village.

Indigo dyeing is a sustainable art practice passed down for generations in Hakka villages. Taichung’s Watersource Cultural and Educational Foundation presents hands-on indigo dye workshops right here in Vancouver! Learn about local agriculture and harvesting plant dye materials, and get to work creating your own one-of-a-kind dye art.
