West End Family Place is a program dedicated to supporting families in the neighborhood. The program activities include weekly toddler playtimes (ages 0-5), focused on healthy early child development and socialization; monthly workshops (topics often cover parenting, mental health, and wellness); educational sessions; support with employment and gaining financial stability; special community events. Participants of the group are notified first about the special events and given priority registration.
Most of the events inside the program are free for the members of Gordon House. The membership is $5/ a year and can be purchased in person at GNH.
About Gordon Neighbourhood House:
Gordon Neighbourhood House began in 1942 as a place for residents in Vancouver’s Downtown-West End neighborhoods to drop by for a cup of coffee. Today, we work closely with local residents, businesses, and organizations to create dozens of programs, services, and initiatives that respond to the needs and dreams of our neighborhood. From childcare to senior programs, we walk with our community through every chapter of life.
