Founded in 1999 by Claude Giguère and Jay Knutson, the North Shore Celtic Ensemble is a whole new kind of music experience. What began as Celtic is now a spirited no-boundaries repertoire that reflects a wide range of musical influences - Celtic, jazz, classical, folk, and more - creating an exciting genre-spanning experience for the players and audience. Far more than just a performing group, the North Shore Celtic Ensemble is committed to inspiring youth to use music to engage and connect with communities, to live well, and to make a difference.

If you are a committed young musician who loves exploring different genres, we welcome you to our Junior Ensemble. Players perform arrangements with harmonies and grooves that are fun to play. Performances include a feature role in our Community Concert Series.
