Halloween in and around Vancouver
No one does Halloween like Vancouver!
When our area puts its mind to it (so to speak), nowhere else can top the wonderfully inventive activities for kids. In almost no season is this more apparent than during Halloween. There are literally dozens of activities to choose from every weekend starting in late September and ending in late October.
Tons and Tons of Halloween Events and Alternatives!
Vancouver is filled with fun ways to celebrate Halloween! KidsOutAndAbout has compiled this guide to help families enjoy the holiday to the fullest. Our ideas include places to Trick or Treat inside and outside in safe, public places, Halloween parties and celebrations, haunted tours and hayrides as well as a couple of Trunk or Treat events where kids can trick or treat out of the trunks of decorated vehicles! We also know that some families prefer to entertain their children on October 31st without including Halloween, so our Big List also includes a few Halloween Alternative celebrations going on in the Vancouver area as well.
If we've missed an event, please send me an email so that we can add it to our list!

Gulf of Georgia Cannery
The Haunted SeaJourney to the ocean’s depths into the strange, awe-inspiring world of underwater creatures in The Haunted Sea! This annual art installation is created by upcycled materials collected from the ocean and raises awareness on the impacts of plastic and waste entangling with the vibrant life in our coastal waters. This family-friendly event also includes low lighting, black lights and a smoke machine for effects, but will not have any jump scares or strobe lights, making it suitable for children of all ages.
